I would like to write about Faculty Recital Series, It is Faculty Brass and Harp Recital.
On 17 Aug 2010, 7.30pm. Conservatory Concert Hall
These concert played by Laurence Gargan [Trumpet], William Theis [Trumpet], Han Chang Chou [French horn], Gulnara Mashurova [Harp] and Low Shao Suan [Piano].
The programmed is Anonymous suite for trumpet, Alessandro Stradella, Felix Mendelssohn, Oskar Boheme, Marcel Grandjany and Johann Baptist Georg Neruda.
These concert makes me excited, because of my teacher also play in these concert. The programmed runner from the slow piece to the fast piece. I am fun all these concert and enjoined the good tone color and sound.
For my opponent, I though that I like the piece of Johann Baptist Georg Neruda. The second movement makes me feel warm and sad in the same time.

He is too young to conduct, isn't he?

Today I would like to talk about a young great conductor of Sistema's top youth orchestra.
I think he is so young and talented for his age, and most people can not do like him.
He has a lot spirit of conducting, and I can feel the movement of his body.
He will be a good conductor in the future that I know, because he is so young now.
I think most people in this age can not do like him, because if you are a conductor you must
have a lot concentrate to your score. You must hard working for your job.
You also must know about the music instrument tone and sound.
This is too difficult for who want to be a conductor.
Gustavo Dudamel can do that! I think because first time he hard working for this thing.
He also talent and genius to control his orchestra player too.
If I see someone who want to be a conductor, they should have spirit in music first.
In the future I hope I will see his conduct again in the soon.

This piece is The Concert Etude for trumpet and piano
This piece compose by Goedicke Fyodorovich Alexander [4 March 1877 - 9 July 1975].
He was a Russian composer and the pianist.
I like this piece because I am looking for something challenging.
This piece favorite for trumpet player, because it is show about skill and articulation.
The tempo also fast and smooth in this music. This piece gave me some ideas for think about how to practice high note at last phrase.
This piece so difficult when I see first time, then I like it.
When I start to practice this piece. I can not do anything. I start to listen this record, then I start practice to slow.
I try to play smooth like the record, because the recording play very smooth and relax.
It's makes me feel fun and exciting when I play.

My name is Amnaj Songpattanasilp. My major instrument is Trumpet. I come from Thailand. I was born on September 15, 1989 at Bangkok/Thailand.
I am 21 years old. I start to play trumpet when I am 13 years old, and I also can play drum set too!
When I am 16 years old, I concentrate to trumpet, because I want to be an orchestra player.
I go to study in Silpakorn University in Thailand. I study with Mr. Lertkiat Chongjirajitra.
Someone asked me "Why you want to play trumpet". I said "I love the trumpet sound, and I want to play in Symphony Orchestra when I am graduate from university".
Now, I get the scholarship of National University of Singapore. I am very happy and exciting for this time.
I think this is very difficult for my life, because everybody in this school come from another country.
I will try to hard working for make sure I will be a good professional performing.
I think this is challenging for me.
My favorite composer is Gustav Mahler Symphony No. 1-9, and Dvorak New world Symphony.
I have a lot of good friends in this school, they come from the same country and another country.
Everybody are kind for me. I love my friends. My favorite food is Papaya salad.
